It was either The Beatles or an Austin Powers wig. All in all, I think I made an excellent call.
I bought a wig today. It is sort of in the style of The Beatles and it is black.
I worried that it might be too feminine, but the fact that it's disconcerting as all hell to look at me when I'm wearing it is a great sign that it's sending on the gender signals I want it to. Yeeeeeeeeees. I probably won't be larping for a few weeks yet, but call this incentive to work harder. The rest of the costume will be important, but I am glad I decided to go purchase a wig instead of simply tying back my hair. Now I just need a pair of men's (boy's?) dress shoes, dress pants, a dress shirt, and some eyeliner. And something to bind my breasts.
For those of you were are newer to my friends list, I participate in a Vampire: The Masquerade LARP in the summer months. Costuming is one of my favourite parts of the game.
I also need to nail down some details about the backstory and exactly how I am going to de-uselessfy Damian.
theclevermonkey had some fantastic suggestions, I am just not sure I can convincingly roleplay the best one. I must also practice various other gender indicators - I cannot smile so much when I am in character!

You need to post a picture of you when your costume is complete. :D
Character creation went well. I've switched from being a Daeva to a Mehket with my concept. Sneaky sneaky ninja vampire.

I want to do a photo journey kind of thing of all my larp characters. I still have all the costume pieces, so it's not hard to re-assemble my previous characters, Becky and Elli.
Sneaky ninja? Sounds like your character is right up Mitchell's alley! (Or perhaps he is not broken enough :P)

Sneaky ninjas are fun. The architype I'm playing into is essentially Kerrick-esque (Though I've had characters even further back who were similar), but a little refined and with more backstory. Kerrick didn't have much of a backstory, if you recall. He was defined by his actions, not by his history. In any case, he'll be the impulsive, eternally tempted vampire thief! Woo!
It's much easier to play a character type that I'm very familiar with when I'm learning the game mechanics and world, than try to figure out something totally new while learning the game.

We never use to dress up though. We would kinda just situate ourselves in a hovel and play with our imagination and dice. I would kick ass sometimes. It was pretty cool.
But, then I started getting a bit scared of my EX. (part of why I broke up with him) because he started to get into Satanism and such. He started lugging around The Satanic Bible and living by it.
Too weird for me. So, I went my own way.
Anyway, that is sooo cool. I love Vampire: The Masquerade. It's fun to pretend your a Vampire ~ I love Vampires ~ They are sooo romantic.
Take Care and Have a Good One!

No one I know has really gotten into Satanism, so far as I'm aware. The extremists of the gaming community XD

That's a good plan, for getting used to a new system.
