Lovely write up. I don't often watch the episode Final Cut so I completely forgot about this line you quoted:

Her last episode showed a lot of people losing faith. Maybe that was her moment where she lost her faith. Her marriage was over and despite rekindling a little of what she had with Lee she knew it was over and now it seemed what she had worked for professionally (getting to earth) had failed too.
It's very sad and I have to admit I first hated the episode where she died because I thought they were trying to get her out of the way for K/L. But remembering all these moments where she played the supporting role of getting the main characters to keep going to help humanity, it makes sense that it was in this episode things ended for her. It's tragic but BSG was like that.
