So glad I brushed my hair this morning.

That was breathaking. In both senses of the word. It's an incredibly windy day today - I've been listening to it gust and whistle past the house all morning. Bailey and I went for a short walk on Dallas Road (the off-leash park) and it was spectacular. It was a struggle to move forward, then it was a struggle not to get thrown forward when the wind was to my back. Port Angeles is completly invisible the fog and the waves are buffeting up against the cliffs. I've never seen them do that before. Every time I forget, something happens to remind me that this place is so damn breathtaking!

I am a West Coast Witch once more!

It hasn't sunk in yet that this is a long-term visit, even though I freaked out while packing because there wasn't enough room and it wasn't this bad last year and augh! I realised the difference lies in that last year, I was packing for a trip. This year, I was packing up my life.

Flights were okay. Layover in Vancouver, the first leg of the trip felt a bit long. Or maybe my legs were just too long. (There was much ow.) Safe and sound though, so that's all that matters.

It's two am. I'm going to bed. I'll be online again, eventually.

*flails in excitement*

There's a course being offered in July at UVic called "Storytelling and Story Theatre"!!! Words cannot express how very badly I want to be enrolled in that class. Glendon offers something similar, but being a super small school, I don't know if they'll offer it next year. I *want* this course. I hope I hope I hope they'll let a drama (as opposed to theatre) major in!

Sadly, all the cool Social Sciences (I am trying to knock off the last of my general education requirements) run in August. If I'm going out West in May, I need to be back here in August to look for a new apartment. Alas! Still, "Individual and Society" could be interesting, right? We'll see if they let me get away with it as fulfilling the requirements first!

*exhausted*

*really really*

I feel like someone has tied a weight to every single part of my body and then put a rubber band around my forehead. It's really not a fun tired. But it's my own fault for being in the sun on Sunday and yesterday was so worth it. Steve and I (Too lazy to bother with coding) went up to Cathedral Grove and basked in the glory of 800 year old trees. And I have pictures to prove it! I'm going to have to go back in costume one of these days. Nymph and dryad costumes ahoy! (I'm obessed, I know!)

That's a lot of exclamation marks. I love how you can convey energy online, even when you have none in real life.

And holy hell, when did the end of my trip here sneak up so fast? I know there was all sorts of discussion about it last night, but it didn't really settle in until today at work, when I was telling people when I was going... *enter big long rant you've all heard before about feeling torn* There. That saved us all some time, angst and flist space.

I also have a really sad story about geekiness and homesickness, but I really just want to curl up on the couch and shrivel right now, so I might do that.

That smiley face I'm using for my mood set is on drugs. Who has hearts in their eyes?

It's late, I'm not done packing and I still have to clean up after dinner. Of course. I'm not going to get nearly enough sleep, but I guess I can doze on the plane, especially since the movie will, invariably, be bad.

See you all Monday, most likely. Maybe Sunday night, if I'm not too dead :P Thank you to all the well wishers!

My plane out West is on Sunday, and while it is a little sad to know I am now going out alone, I think it will do me a world of good to get away from everything for a little while (even though some of my school books are coming with me :P). It will be wonderful to spend time with my parents, little brother and to curl up with my dog.

All I have to say, though, is that it had better snow on Mount Washington before I get there! I want to ski, damnit!
