(no subject)

I chose to slow down today after yesterday's crazy pace.

So tired, but it means I won't crash next week because of one busy day. So win.

Must start planning the second Star Trek Party. Yeeeeesssssss....

I got some work done in the apartment, but had trouble getting moving for school because it's awkward not to have Word. Which is a dumb excuse that I need to kick. I'll try again tommorow. Mitchell came over and we built me a Solar. No name yet, but it should be a lot of fun. I have to brush up on some outrageous pirate speech. I've also found my monologue and chosen a song for tommorow's musical-theatre audition. I'm not prepared, but it's just Nicole (not Nikki-ole) and I will put in some more work before the fact. She's seen me act before, I know my song and frankly, I just haven't had the time to prepare thoroughly and couldn't do any of the later audition dates. She's reasonabable.

Bed time.

Are you guys going to continue with that Dragon-Blooded game now that everyone is back in town? Are you going to convert to second edition DBs?

Sorry, your Solar is a pirate? What caste is he/she? What do you favor? What is your motivation?

Your Star Trek parties are fun! We had a Battlestar fest yesterday, watched 11 episodes! :O T'was awesome, until the scorched popcorn turned my stomach!

We cancelled the DB game. Alas, it is no more.

We are playing second ed solars. She isn't a pirate, but in the interest of saving her own skin, she's pretending to be one. She's a Night Caste who favours Melee, Integrity and Investigation. I forgot all about motivations, but the brief backstory is that she's a thief who goes into the more upper-class homes and makes quite a good living stealing from them. (No real altruism here - not a Robin Hood type.) She had an unforunate run in with a Tyrant Lizard on a robberry gone horribly, horribly wrong and lost her leg, which is probably where the pirate inspiration came from. Peg leg indeed! She'll be masquerading as a Western-born pirate because she is Wanted, and that is bad.

That sounds like fun! :D

Yay to another Star Trek party! And just today I met two (count 'em, TWO) trek fans that are female! And one other male trekkie. Yes, I am definitely in the right program :) .

I realised my friend Naazia is also in the city (we know each other from our hardcore Janeway/Chakotay shipping days) and she wants to bring her friend Ala along as well, which is cool by me. I wanted to keep this party on the smaller side (better to engage in the really awesome geekery), but we're up to something like 13 invitees and none of us are dabblers XD It's insane.

I was thinking a friday night in mid-October. I guess I'd better get a date to you so that you don't book some theatreish thing in the meantime :P I want to see you!
