See: The Spoon Theory

As a child, I collected spoons.

It seems a little ironic now.

Heh, a little.

*HUGS*

Yeah. I can see why it would.

Ironic, and a little strange besides O.- But kind of neat! I love the unusual.

Why spoons?

[identity profile] cheshire23.livejournal.com 2007-05-09 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably because of this. (http://www.butyoudontlooksick.com/2004/11/the_spoon_theory.php)

You knew about the spoon theory as a kid?

[identity profile] akeyoftime.livejournal.com 2007-05-09 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
No. I did not come across the spoon theory until I was sixteen or seventeen, maybe even eighteen. I think we just had some misunderstanding.

I don't know why I collected the little metal spoons. I think a few were brought home for me after some of dad's business trips and it went on from there.

I had close to fifty at one point, but some have retired and others I've given up on. Down to 20-25 now. I have a list of some I'm supposed to adopt, but they've all got 4-7 year histories on them.

*sends good vibes*

I have always been a huge nerd.

I think it is in my blood. Like a gene, or something. Except my mother is really not and my father denies it.

[identity profile] user-lain.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, it could be a recessive gene.

The Spoon Analogy is an interesting one.

Oh the nerdy love. Heart.

I love irony. Well done. :)

[identity profile] akeyoftime.livejournal.com 2007-05-12 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be even better if the spoons had been made of iron.

Idea: What about Amazon warriors? I wouldn't want to do it alone, but with you, maybe a couple other women? We could try talking Sarah and Calista into it?

[identity profile] akeyoftime.livejournal.com 2007-05-12 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
That seems like a very apt suggestion from you. I quite like the idea myself.
