Mostly for Canadian amusement. (Facebook required to follow the links.)

You know, I have to hand it to the Liberal Party. Getting Stéphane Dion a Facebook account was a great idea. Of course, it's possible they swiped the idea from The Conversvatives (the Liberals have a main page too), or from another nation's political parties, but what a great way to at least get the attention our demographic. I'm posting about it and I rarely spare a thought for official politics unless it's elections time. Check the "Officers" bar for more MPs online. I couldn't find an official group for the NDP or the Green Party, but that does not mean they are not out there.

Stephen Harper does not appear to have a Facebook account.

Edit: I lied! There he is!

This is especially funny, seeming as the schmucks in provincial government aren't allowed to play, according to this story:

Wait a minute... *I'M* in a provincial government! Oh well-- I'll check the links when I get home I guess.

This is becoming a popular method of getting people into politics, and involved with parties. Nearly everyone, of nearly all age groups, use blogging.
