I keep wanting to say things and reply to posts, but I'm so fatigued. If nothing else, the last few weeks at work have been showing me how tough I am and how tired I can get. It's showing me how far I can push myself and it's far, far beyond what I would have believed. That being said, I'd love a few days in bed!

With all due respect to the immesity of the situation. With all due respect to the fact that this is Doctor Who and not The Sarah Jane Adventures or Torchwood, which means that the Doctor is the hero. Those are not the companions who travelled with the Doctor, who do nothing but crumble and cry in the face of terrible, terrible odds. Jack and Sarah Jane are both more than that. They get up and they endure and they fight until they can't. I can almost, almost buy it from Jack, but they had both better shape up over the course of the episode and, I hope, before the Doctor shows up. Right now, they're just poised to lie down and let their loved ones die; I don't buy that for an instant. Try, dear ones. Try.

Except that The Doctor, and I guess Rose, are the only ones who've fought the Deleks and lived. I don't know if Sarah has ever met them, and Jack died last time. I don't think they're gonna just roll over and not fight, but I do think that they realize that they have no chance of defeating the Daleks.

I think that I was trying to say that I was annoyed that they chose a scene in which Jack and Sarah Jane do nothing but despair. I love both characters and I think my favourite thing to see in this show is companions stepping up to save the day, even if they fail miserably. Anyway, we'll see how things play out.

Ace, a seventh Doctor companion, did this awesome thing where she fought Daleks with a baseball bat and won.

In response to your fatigued non response, I'll respond as if you have.

I agree with this bit here, but have you considered this (popculture ref) with this?

It's awesome to hear that you're made of stronger stuff than you thought. Maybe it's a matter of practice, now?

I have no idea what the first half of your comment is supposed to mean. Sorry!

Honestly, I'd rather not practice running on empty, but it is good to know that if I have to, I can. (Also, that I'm super lucky to have such supportive parents!)

I was responmding to the comment you would have made, but didn't, because you were too tire, like you said at the opening of your post. I didn't phrase it too well, I guess.

Woo support!

Hello! I know this is rather unusual, but I as I know you from a HP comm I thought that you'd might be interested in joining this one. Wingardium is a small cute and cuddly community who is just in the process of growing up. We have the usual housecup, graphics, fanfiction and trivia things but what makes us different than the rest is the sheer dedication the current mods (which includes myself as HoH Ravenclaw and Trivia Mistress) have and manage to inspire within others. We still need some mods so if you're interested just fill in the application and apply. I hope to hear from you!
