As the smiley indicates, this is a rant.

I need to blow some steam off, the process of which I actually started earlier today when I had a meltdown. With the amount of people on wotmania, I wouldn't be surprised to find that there are people here who've been chronically ill, but for those of you who haven't been, I really don't recommend it.

I've been sick for the last three years, and when I finally just start getting back to something that could be called a life, I get sick again. I haven't been to school for a full day since March. That's a really long time. My Formal (Prom) is comming up, and I probably won't get to go to most of it because I'm too sick. I've missed things with my friends, including three birthdays, I've missed a convention I really wanted to go to, and a million other little things, and I've had it!

>:( I mean, yes, I'm alive, and that's more than some people who've been through what I have can say, but I've missed out on almost all of my teenage years because of it, and I have a friend who's been sick just like me for twice as long as I have, and I'm getting better faster, but enough is enough. I've hit the reaking point, and I'm not sure I smooth it over this time.

*hugs back* Thanks. I'm feeling a whole better today. I guess everyone needs a little self pity, sometimes.

I was diagnosed with Firbomyglia about 10 years ago. This disease does suck huge wads! I have to take morphine twice a day for pain. If it wasn't for that, I won't be able to work. I can't image having this disease being your age....EXERCISE!!! It sucks at first but believe me, you will start feeling better! Take your vitamins and educate yourself on this disease and get a good doctor. Take care and good luck!

Thank you for the support. :)

If only my fibromyalgia was the worst of my problems right now! I've been diagnosed with it for two years, and with everything you've suggested above (especially the excercise - I love walking so much now) it was mostly under control.

The last two months have been especially bad because I've had a mystery illness that's totally zapped me of my strength. No one knows what it is, though a fibro outbreak has been ruled out, since my mother has the same symptoms, but no FM.

On the upside, however, I *did* make it to prom, and for the duration (though the next day was... interesting :P) Thank god for my wonder drug Alertec.

As I said earlier, however, comiseration is always nice. :)
