Not enough sleep, too much marching. (Read: I went out after roleplay and then woke up early to march in the Victoria Day parade.) Still, I think it was worth it to get to hand all those kids balloons. They get so happy over a helium-filled piece of latex on a string. Yes, I, the self-proclaimed eternal child, has grown out of balloons. Mostly.


Roleplay went well last night, though there were a couple points where Ellie just sat around and stagnated. She and I have a few kinks to work out yet, but I'm starting to sort her out and while she hasn't really found her niche yet, she's got a few acquaintances. It's also delightful to be taken entirely at face value just because she hasn't really lied to anyone. Deceived? Yes. But no lies, so even if her social stats are poor and I fail challenges, it doesn't matter. The best lies my friends ;) She also pitched a fit and sat in a corner obfuscating for about ten minutes, sulking, until Mallory's player came along and noted, out of character, that he really wished I weren't obfuscating because the other Malkavian's could use my help. He then drove Harry and Elli even crazier in an effort to make our plan work better (which totally did not help). Level five Dementation - I drew five cards from a deck of one hundred phobias and other mental problems and they were mine until the end of the night. In addition to OCD and her mental issues over her writing, I also became anorexic, pyrophobic (fear of fire), xenophobic, paranoid and kleptomania. Dreadful fun.

I also had a lot of fun watching people run about trying to figure out who had cut all the breaks in the character's cars. Naturally, Elli is as clueless as the rest, maybe more so, since she's just gleaming knowledge where she can, but I know and I love it!

My roleplay group back at home is putting together a CD full of theme songs. I've known Adaris' (my air-aspected Dragonblood) since the idea of a soundtrack came together and if there's room for Moden (bitchy Eclipse ambassador), whom I had to abandon only a few months in, will so utterly and totally be "Cruella De Vil". Ember, Issy and Trian will require further research. Man, I love this idea. We are also really going to need two CDs to fit all of our characters onto them.


I'm really behind on the betas :( Lils dear, how long can you wait for yours? I am working on a really short one that has somehow turned into massive amounts of work, but is basically on a deadline. I'm several pages into yours and really want to finish it. I am fascinated by your concept. As for you, Vicki, when are you going to cycle back around to Show & Substance? If I can't make it on time I'll let you know and you can find another beta. Though I hate to do that, but life gets that way.

And there is a God and that last month of hell was not in vain. My grade reports have come in and the only on that really upsets me is Smoke & Mirrors, at B+ (Which SHOULD have been an A, if the year hadn't been what it was. I loved that course in its entirety.) Even my Medieval History course ranks in at a C, which means that last-minute paper was as strong as I thought it was. Sweet.

Edit: Also, everybody go and congratulate neonanightshade in her journal. She won best roleplayer this week :)

How can you have grown out of ballons? Seriously? If I get my hands on a non-helium filled one, there goes at least 10 mins playing keep-up with it. Dude.
