Thank you Alex and Andrea!
So, I'm on for minimal amouts (very minimal), but it's something, and I feel like posting :P
Okay, so I just saw The Last Samurai. Yes, I cried - it's a bad habit, but it was only a little, and possibly because the movie got so cheesy sometimes. However, it was very good, and the supporting actors were, for the most part, amazing. Cruise wasn't even so bad, which was a nice surprise.
As I've been told, the sets are gorgeous: there's no other word for it. *melts* All those sakura were pretty... shame I'd have been sneezing my head off. In short, pretty movie, that gets cheesy and stereotyped, but all in all makes me very happy and glad to have seen it. :P It certainly puts me in a happier mood that I did *not* have to pay fifteen dollars to see it, like at home. Ten bucks was the price here, in middle-of-nowhere (or almost) Quebec, and it feels like a steal :P
And dude! I understood a bit of the japanese, here and there. That made me happy. I understood very minimal amounts of the japanese, but enough to make me smile. I also knew enough about the language to enjoy Tom Cruise's accent... ah... I probably sound no better though. It's all good. The Engrish was actually kept to a minimun, and very good, right down to the hint of a british accent in the engrish, when appropriate. *takes a moment to point at all the stupid americans in the movie and laugh*
Katie done. Other places to cruise around and the like :P
