I'm going to take a giant axe to my hard drive and start chopping away at the dead brush, because I'm so full that my video files lag when I try to play them, resulting in much frustration on my part. So, the dead wood, and even some that's only still dying, will go.

Aside from all of that, today was a great day. Liz came over the for the long planned visit/escape from res and we had a blast. We went out for lunch (mmm... calamari...) and then came back here for the first session of a Bishoujo Senshi Sera Muun marathon. For those of you not up-to-date on your engrish, yes, I am talking abut Sailor Moon. We watched the better part of the Nephrite arc. Not the best ever, but it has its moments.

She, like most people who eat dinner at my house, also got dragged to the park after the evening meal :P She was a good sport about it. And oh. We had bought strawberries and whipped cream on our way home from lunch. So. Good. Liz was overjoyed when she found out we have real fruit markets in this end of the city. Looks like our country girl found a piece of home in the T dot ;)

The evening degenerated into silly things as we watched a horribly laggy episode of Prétear, played the Harry Potter version of Clue, before we got serious again and fell into a rather long conversation. Liz and I are two people who managed to hit it off very well and I have a sneaky suspicion we're both very honest people, so it leads to just saying whatever pops into our heads, no matter how serious or silly, depending on the conversation. (By the way, if you read this Mandie, Liz and I are determined to put together some kind of Girl's Night that will involve the board game Girl Talk (Oh yeah, go 80s) and for those who wish, alcohol.)

It got to be rather late when my mom drove her home, but it's all good. We're close to campus by car, and we got a free Star out of the deal. By Star, I mean the newspaper. When we were passing by the caf I was suddenly wishing school was back in... even if we get together outside of school, it's really not the same as sitting around a caf table just wasting away hours of our lives, doing the crossword, checking horoscopes... I miss it :P Yes, yes I am a dork.

Also, my skin is disgusting. I have to get used to the feel of several-hours old sunscreen and sweat coating my legs again. Bah summer.

In addition, I would like to let residents of the city know that it's only June. And we're already having power outages. CUT BACK ALREADY!!! We DON'T need another massive blackout. That was not fun.
