I like exercise. It makes me feel good! I am eating chocolate on an empty stomach though - that is is not my best idea ever, but so delicious!

I am wearing my Elli-costume. I wanted to change after Kung Fu (BLUESASHBLUESASHBLUESASHFINALLY!!!!!!So pretty, but not as soft as the old ones: hopefully it will not loosen quite so often.) and as I am in a terribly whimsical mood, I put on the skirt, shirt and scarf. I may add sandals to the ensemble later, if only because I know the thought of socks and sandals makes several of you squirm. For the many newer people to my flist, Elli was my LARP (Live Action Role Playing - Vampire: The Masquerade in this case) character for two and a half months last summer. She had a wonderful run and a spectacular and fitting end.

Speaking of LARP characters, I had a long chat with a friend on Thursday and decided to drop Nathalie, the character I was going to play this summer. Only now that I've done all of that, a new snapshot of her, more vivid and defined that ever, has developed. All the finicky details that I wanted sorted out and couldn't have fallen into place. So Nathalie (or Nettie, as she might be known as - though not to anyone in game) might just be back and is beautifully black and white. I love starting at black and white. It means I get to watch and grow with the character as the shades of gray are drawn in. (Unfortunately, it also means I have to become a Camarilla rules nazi. I have reading to do!) I'll draw a character sketch later, after I've made dinner and done some reading. It's so vivid just now! :)

I am also going to recruit you lot in helping me find songs for three of my former characters, since Colin is trying to get the CD together. I've been hopeless on my own, but if I paint sketches, maybe the lot of you can suggest a few tunes!

In the meantime, foooooooooood!

This question was put to the lot of us in [livejournal.com profile] loyal_badger and because it struck me as a potentially interesting discussion topic, I thought I'd post it here as well. I've actually had this discussion with one or two of you on previous occasions, though never quite with that question laid so bluntly on the table... but I'm a fan of blunt and straightforward, so here we go!

What makes a person beautiful in your eyes?

My answer to the question went something like this:

I find beauty in people who are willing to share themselves. They are the people whose smiles touch their eyes and invite you to join them in it. While they don't necessarily need to wear their hearts on their sleeves, there is a certain honesty and compassion about them which you cannot doubt and know is there more instinctively than anything else. That's not to exclude the rest of the population: I'd like to think we all have a certain beauty that is all our own. (Why yes, I am quite the dreamer.)

So, tell me my dears, what do you think?
