I think that was part of the reason I left LJ for a time as well. I had a very small flist and it was full of acquaintances. I forget how I happened on the site in early 2003, but the fact that it had gone invite-only made me want *in*, so I dug arournd and managed to re-open this account :P It stayed small for a long time (I did not start including RL friends for another year and that was largely by accident), but I stayed with it this time. I think that the distance from my stroke helped with things like attention span and even having energy to sit up at the computer.
