(no subject)

Dell has finally admitted that my computer is broken and are taking it in to be fixed.

And all it took was a crashed windows system, overheating problems and after all their trouble shooting, a broken motherboard. But they are doing it and I am sneaking in under the warranty deadline!

There is no record of my hours spent on the phone with the American tech guys. Not even a note saying it happened. Frustration.

Woot for the fixing! They actually kinda buggered themselves by not notating the calls; they put themselves to the point where they were about to be in breach of the warranty. Apparently they also change something about the internal layout so it doesn't overheat as easily, while they're at it. Neat.

American tech guys? You mean their call centre in India right?

No, I spoke to their Indian call centre when I called the Canadian tech number. Either that or the two folks I spoke to on the American line had fantastic North American accents. The second one even had a Chinese lilt to his words.
