And amazingly, I manage to keep a budget.
Mar. 4th, 2007 01:47 pmI went to the grocery store for a mango and walked out with:
-a mango
-an avocado
-a loaf of bread
-a bag of grapes
-a box of pre-packaged "Marshmallow Cripy Rice Bars"
-four tins of Habitant pea soup

You say A Mango?!!?

I think we all do it at some point in our shopping ventures. We have a list to only buy the certain necessities and we end up buying far more than anticipated. Then you get to the checkout stand and you are like, wtf! How come it is sooo much? Then you start telling the clerk to take this away and that away until you have a better grand total. Especially, if your spouse is with you - you get tres embarrassed...I do anyway. Ha, Lol!
Anyway...hope you are doing well. I managed to keep up with the sorting this week (God, only knows how I was able) but I felt bad because I really enjoy giving long sortings and I ended up with one answer sortings instead. **the demands of life**

Date: 2007-03-05 04:01 am (UTC)I love cultural quirks like that. I tease my dad sometimes, because I've been known to eat vanilla ice cream and pickles (and to have enjoyed it!).
Some of this stuff I bought because I saw the "Sale" sign. Those soup tins are real comfort food, but they're normally two dollars a tin. I tend to pounce on a sale price of under a dollar!
I forgot to sort. Rats. *scurries off*

Cultural quirks are cool too. My Mom's funny that way. If you ever get to meet her - you'll find her funny.
Anyway, Take Care and Loads of Love,
