I go through bouts where I paper journal obsessively, and then periods when I barely lift the pen. (Partially because I think I prefer to talk to real people, and even if they are absent, LiveJournal is still outward communication.) Still, I find the whole process very gratifying. Plus, what I want to be working on is creative writing and it's a joy to be doing that again after years of disinterest. *hugs*
