The Cat in the Hat

akeyoftimeWell, the cat's out of the bag, if there ever was a bag, or a cat, but I just like the expression.
We were comparing bruises at roleplay last night (Mine was still back quite by quite a bit, but my knee should be far enough along by next week to beat EVERYONE out once and for all.), and it turned into a discussion about how I was bruised because my boyfriend was beating me. Bearing in mind this was all playful, and the only one who knew I was actually dating at all was Lauren, who wasn't participating.
So I played along, and it turned around to yes, I was bruised, but they should see the other guy. I think I also started blushing somewhere in here, and Sarah and I just had this discussion about how when redheads blush, they BLUSH. I swear to god, I've blushed more in the last two weeks than I have in the last year. You'd almost thing that I actually LIKE Bergmann. I know, scary thoughts.
Needless to say, the playful banter turned into a hell of a lot of teasing and drilling when they clued in, which didn't take long. Someone decided to be a smart alec and even started demanding shoe sizes. Witty people.
Now, I know they do this because they care and they're my friends, but they remain dorks all the same. (Because first off, the six of us do meet to ROLEPLAY.) And I continue to use the word "dork" regardless of its etemology. It's just a word people.
I also hate the rain, though my knee is doing just fine today, blessedly. I was really worried for a while there that I'd damaged something seriously.
Okay, now it's time to go do my essay. I want three pages done today, and I spent the afternoon trying to find statistics. I have only a sentence written, but the stats are found, at least. Time to go into a writing tizzy... or something like that.
