Note to self:

However much salsa and tomato sauce may have the same tomato base, salsa substitutes poorly for the latter when eating pasta.

But then, opening hte can would have meant a whole lot of sauce going to waste. Le sigh.

You can use tomato sauce for pleanty of other things though. It can make many different hot dishes... Should be noted I hate many hot dishes as well...
