DriveFit is a CD I got from Young Drivers of Canada, and has a pile of neat little exercises that help improve cognitive skills (like reaction time, short term memory, etc) pertinent to driving.

Some are pretty easy. Others, namely the ones with sound, are giving me the freaking run-around. I don't do well with sound. I had a stroke and now multi-tasking is *hard*, especially when letters, numbers and words are being shouted at me and arg!

All this is made harder when your laptop shuts off half-way through because it overheats and you have to re-do two thirds of it, including the numbers and letters and words. Mmmkay, thanks for that.

Sometimes, I wonder if my livejournal isn't terribly boring. This isn't a "Please, reassure me!", because anyone who knows me well can tell you I'll gladly admit when I'm doing that :P I'm a pretty honest girl and right now, I'm wondering out loud, is all. I've been thinking of going through this thing and deleted expired memes and the like and locking up old entries as required. God knows two years plus worth of accumulated posts has to have a few things that need weeding out. Technically, I've had this journal for four years, but I only got a few months in in 2001 before dropping off the face of the LJ planet until June or July 2003. Perhaps I will be able to answer my own question of "Is this journal a little too dull?" soon enough.

On a slightly off-topic note, I love optical mice. So much better than that stupid ball that only works half the time and gets gungy and blech.

Optical mice roxor.

My take on the journal: Well, you know my thoughts about going back and deleting stuff and whatnot. And how I disagree with it. To edit something takes away from the truth of it at it's moment. It doesn't matter if it's what you really felt at the time, or even if it is applicable anymore. The point is that you choose to write that at that moment, and I don't think that that should be changed. However, my argument falls apart quite quickly when I apply this philosophy to my essays, so take me, as always, with a grain of salt (sea salt of course).

"Is this journal a little too dull?" Compared to what? I know for a fact that you are not a dull person in the slightest, so it should follow that your journal isn't either. So what if your entries are tests and the like often (which you actually haven't been doing lately). That's you. What else do you want your journal to reflect?

I know, I'm a bloody romantic when it comes to and self-reflection stuff. So sue me :P

*smiles*

I didn't mean to delete any of my posts. I just meant all the old meme crap that has broken pictures and isn't important anyway. Stop defending my journal. I will continue to post all the crap I want to :P That's never going to end. I'm a person of simple, silly hapiness and sorrows. I'm tripping over my words here, but what it boils down to, is after two years of "I did this today!" kind of blogging, I'm ready for a bit of a change. Maybe.

That's exactly what I mean :) And that's what the journal reflects. And as you change, it too will change.

And I'm reading far to much into this. Meh :P

My sister did YD. If it helps, SHE had problems following some of the exercises too.
