What do you do to entertain a group of twenty-somethings for an evening that don't have an apartment or house to hang out at and is preferably low on alcohol?

I've heard suggestions like karaoke and an arcade, but I might not be up to the former, especially since I'll have been at Afters the night before, and the latter strikes me as something that would not encourage a lot of hanging out together. I don't see these people often. I want to make it count.

Help?

Movies or games, like a board game night. I'd totally do that.

I totally would to, but we don't have a place to do that : /

Board game night is fun, especially if you happen to have some interesting, more obscure games, like anything by Steve Jackson games, though if you don't that works too.

Lack of appartment or house, but otherwise it would be a good plan.

Oops.
I should read more carefully.

How about a scavenger hunt?

Cranium (which is a board game) is always a fun game for groups. Or things like pictionary, which you don't even really need the official game for?

Oh noes! Not Carmen! *flails*

Sadly, we do not have a space in which to play : / Otherwise I'd have snatched up the board games/silly party games idea ages ago.

You could always prevail on a friend of yours who DOES have a house to host for you. :) I'm sure if you asked nicely they would say yes...
