loyal_badger and because it struck me as a potentially interesting discussion topic, I thought I'd post it here as well. I've actually had this discussion with one or two of you on previous occasions, though never quite with that question laid so bluntly on the table... but I'm a fan of blunt and straightforward, so here we go!
What makes a person beautiful in your eyes?
My answer to the question went something like this:
I find beauty in people who are willing to share themselves. They are the people whose smiles touch their eyes and invite you to join them in it. While they don't necessarily need to wear their hearts on their sleeves, there is a certain honesty and compassion about them which you cannot doubt and know is there more instinctively than anything else. That's not to exclude the rest of the population: I'd like to think we all have a certain beauty that is all our own. (Why yes, I am quite the dreamer.)
So, tell me my dears, what do you think?
