Choose twelve of your original characters in any particular order. (NO PEEKING AT THE QUESTIONS AT THIS STAGE!) Then, answer the questions that follow.

1) Trian (Guild member who was secretly out for reform, Zenith Caste)
2) Earith Moden (A low morals sorceress/ambassador, Eclipse Caste)
3) Ember of Star's Flame (Half-ghost assassin who didn't understand the "human" thing)
4) Ledaal Adaris (DragonBlooded recluse who eventually joined forces with a Solar circle, Air Aspected)
5) Oddett Mireeya (Young Sidereal who delighted in playing the Sidereal games, Chosen of Venus)
6) Becky "Brujah" Larsen (A preppy teenager struggling to deal with the vampire world, Caitiff)
7) Elli (Suffered from a bad case of writer's block and hopelessness before eventually commiting suicide, Malkavian)
8) Nellens Prola (No self-confidence Thaulmaturge, Wood Aspected)
9) Lost Emerald (Paragon barbarian tank, Full Moon Caste)
10) Tora Elalor (Bitter performer, Zenith Caste)
11) Telar Astil (Dutiful hamlet guard, Dawn Caste)
12) Iseulth (Better known as Issy, rebellious daughter with a druid for a mother and at least three possible fathers, Wizard/Ranger/Elemental Savant)

01) Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11? What subjects would they teach?
I think Becky had the potential to make a good university professor (philosophy all the way :P), though it would have been really rocky if she'd tried it this summer. It's hard to say Astil would be a better professor though, since none of her skill sets are academic.

02) Do you think 2 is hot? How hot?
I think I built her to be reasonably physically attractive, but Moden was terribly unattractive as a person, which really ruins it unless your score is just that high (and it wasn't) and even so, it's soured.

03) 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
The trouble with this one is that Issy (12) would just do it herself. She isn't one to sit back and let others do the work - she's far too fond of having adventures. She's more likely to recruit Prola along the way for one reason or another and work with her. She might even teach her wizardry (even if it's crossing systems :P) and definitely help her acquire some self-confidence. I can see them both as thick as thieves by the end of it. I just can't quite picture Issy sending Prola on a mission while she stood back to wait for her return.

04) What is or would be 9's favourite book?
Emerald isn't literate and doesn't particularily care to be, so a book is a book is a book. Her favourite stories (because she did listen to the oral tales her tribe told) were probably all of gloriously fought battles.

05) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
I think both are far too stubborn for such a thing. They're also both dead, which makes these things additionally difficult! Becky wouldn't have had much respect for Moden, while Moden would probably have scorned Becky as a naive child. All in all? Even if Becky had survived, I don't think I can see her having sworn fealty to anyone ever again. She was really sick of all of the little clubs and squabbles and while she was probably a decent Anarch, I don't think she'd have ever claimed the sect as her own. Moden, on the other hand, might well have taken on a new lord or lady if her little corner of the world had stayed dead. So I can see Moden swearing fealty to Becky, but I'm hard pressed to think of why.

06) For some reason, 5 is looking for a room mate. Should they share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
Ah ha. Mireeya and Elalor might butt heads if they lived together, but they'd make a far better match than Mireeya and Emerald. The first pair both grew up in priviledged society and are quite acquainted with the fact that there are rules and games and taboos to be abided by - they'd run into trouble in that Mireeya revels in it, while Elalor has recently become very jaded toward the whole thing. However Emerald, being a barbarian, would disdain living in a studio apartment, period. Yeah. That would never work.

07) 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Okay, let's lay this out. We have a morally corrupt sorceress/politician, a severely depressed vampire and a spirited young wizard. Now, our depressed vampire - Elli - was generally eager to please in public, so I have this sneaky feeling that Moden would continually try and abuse Elli, while Issy would keep trying to set up in as a more neutral force. Eventually, Elli would be pushed too far and while she might not frenzy, she'd get really angry. Issy might be able to calm her back down, but would ultimately be provoked herself by Moden, who is a bit of a bitch. Moden might even limit break, in which case she'd get really cruel before charging off on her horse familiar. Issy would try to cheer Elli up, who'd pretend well enough and might then enjoy some of Issy's delicious, delicious blood before calling it a night.
Moden would probably pick the restaurant, something very trendy and where only she is comfortable, since Elli can't eat at all and Issy grew up on the raw diet.

08) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
Ember is a trained fighter. Elalor is a trained performaner. Point to Ember.

Ember is a master bowman and is proficient with both an artifact goremaul and an artifact diaklave. Elalor carries two flamepistols and no close range weapons. Point to Ember.

Ember is a half-ghost. Ellalor is a Solar Exalt. This not only negates all of Ember's points, it means she's dead, even if she's got 100+ (at least) experience on her that Elalor does not yet have. Ember's main party trick (she spews a black fog from her mouth that robs sight from all but ghosts) fails the moment Elalor flares her anima. Ember loses.

09) If I stole 8's most precious possession, how would she/he get it back?
Prola gets help from the members of her house and they pull some political strings. When that fails, she might attempt to be sneaky, but would ultimately get caught. Prola was painfully incompetent and never got the chance to grow out of it before we stopped playing that chronicle.

10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
"Ode to Magic" (???)

11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
That wouldn't be too hard, especially since both women are Solar-friendly and their visions of how they'd like the world to be work pretty well together. The simplest thing would be to find a way to get Adaris to work with Trian against the Guild, but Trian could just as hapilly have an adventure elsewhere aiding Adaris. I can even seen Adaris as a sort of mother or older sister figure to Trian. A lot of respect would develop between them.

12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
It would be a very, very awkward visit. Elli could pretend she wasn't emotionally crippled well enough, but she was neurotic enough when no one was looking that her "Everything in its place!" OCD would go into overdrive in my untidy apartment. There would likely also be an angry phone call from her sire, which would be uncomfortable for everyone involved. I also wouldn't put it past her not to try and feed from me.

13) If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Ember is best at killing things. It is literally all she was taught how to do. How to sneak, how to shoot a bow and arrow, how to swing a sword. I don't think I want anything from her.

14) Do you think 9 and 4 could be friends? Why or why not?
I think Emerald and Adaris could make fantastic drinking buddies, but in the former's eyes, the latter has in the incorrigable flaws of being from civilization (weak, fluffy bunch) AND a DragonBlood. Emerald hates DragonBloods because they captured some of her tribe (herself included) and hunted them. That was how Emerald exalted and lost a green eye - an emerald, if you will. It doesn't matter that Adaris is not your typical dynast. They might eventually manage to work out some kind of mutual respect (grudging on Emerald's part!) but it would be an uphill climb.

15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
Moden would chose Mireeya, number five, in a bleeding heartbeat. Not only could Mireeya easily overlook some of Moden's nastier behaviour (a boon in Moden's eyes - she hates to be argued with), but Adaris also killed her. Oops. (Having my current PC kill my former PC, even accidentally, was perhaps one of my strangest and most traumtic gaming experiences.)

16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
Something borrowed from tales of an epic, long-ago battle. (Dramatic effect can make or break a performance :P)

17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
I haven't a clue, however, "Solitude by the Window" by Yuki Kajiura is about perfect for Adaris and I thought the lyrics to "Imagine" suited Becky fairly well.

18)What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
Currently, there isn't one. Last time Elalor let herself be seduced, she became a scapegoat, lost a her lifelong dream and exalted as an Anathema. She's not so much into being picked up right now.

19) What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
Mireeya is most likely to be arrested for breaching one of the rules imposed on Sidereals visiting Creation or for insulting a god. Combined with her social aptitude and that neat thing where it's next to impossible to remember a Sidereal, her trouble is going to fall with the Celestial Beauracracy, not the mortal world. And that's a bad bad bad thing.

20) What is 7's secret?
Elli's secret came out (for the most part) in the last session before the died and I've spoken of it a fair bit since then, so it's not much of a secret anymore.

Elli, a poet, was sired by a megalomaniac Malkavian who wanted someone to write odes about him. He was also a jealous and possessive bastard and so to sever her ties to mortal life, he provided her fiance as her first vampiric dinner. If you're unfamiliar with Vampire, you are fairly ravenous when you are first created and normal thought doesn't return until after you've had something to eat. Some sires stop you before you can kill the poor human, but Elli's sire intended for her to kill. Traumatized by the whole series of events, which she never did deal with, she developed a nasty case of writer's block (everything she did manage to write she felt was garbage), with her sire pushing for more written works harder all the time. She moved to Victoria in hopes that a new environment would solve the problem. I didn't.

Heh, I also got my assassin as my favour-guy. The idea of Emerald in a loft is hysterical!

I love the mental imagine of a seven foot tall, strength nine wolverine-woman in adventuring clothes sitting on some trendy little chair with a city scape behind her.

muddy boots up on the coffee table, watching Conan the Librarian, and drinking espresso.

Can you imagine Emerald drinking espresso?
