akeyoftimeI was cleaning out my hotmail a bit, and stumbled upon an old chat log that Ala had sent me. This conversation happened, oh, probably three and a half years ago, and the subject line in Ala's email is "Foot Talk". If you've ever wondered about what exactly my email address is all about and not asked, this is your answer. I'm Akot, for those who aren't familiar with my zoo of screen names ^^*

I was cleaning out my hotmail a bit, and stumbled upon an old chat log that Ala had sent me. <Becci's foot> Evening!
<Akot's Foot> Hey Becci's foot, Becci treat you well?
<Becci's Foot> Yeah, she's great. What's Akot like?
* Becci wonders if she's just found a new level of insanity
<Akot's Foot> Not too bad. Sometimes she forgets to put socks on though, and I get cold.
<Becci's Foot> Becci doesn't wear socks much, but I'm cold even with them on. England really sucks. But I'm quite warm right now. :)
<Akot's Foot> It's only bad in the basement without socks, unless of course she happened to think walking in the snow without them was a good idea.
<Akot's Foot> We get a lot of snow.
<Becci's Foot> Becci sometimes goes out in the garden without socks, but only when it's nice and sunny. Fortunatly, she doesn't when it's cold. But I don't like it much when she goes in the garage without socks, the floors cold in there.
<Akot's Foot> The garage floor here is pretty bad too. I don't like it when she walks across the street and on the driveway. It kinda hurts.
<Becci's Foot> Ouch! Becci doesn't tend to go anywhere but the garden without socks or shoes on. She knows I'll get hurt and she doesn't want that because it'll hurt her too. But I do think she should cut my nails, they're in a real bad state now.
<Akot's Foot> I wish she'd take the old nail polish off mine. It's all old and chipped. Sometimes I think she neglects me for her hand.
*** <Holly> Akot, you should write a fic where Kathryn's and Chakotay's feet are talking to each other.

<Becci's Foot> Becci once left a blob of black nail varnish on one of my nails for months! But she now neglects her hands as much as her feet. They're the ones who get the brunt of the nail biting. Although, she does move onto me when there's no nail left there!
<Akot Foot> Well, she does bite her nails on hand, but at least it get pretty rings and stuff. I don't.
<Becci's Foot> Her hands don't even get rings anymore. She lost them (the rings, that is) and is too lazy to find them. I'm just glad I don't get as cut as bad her fingers do.
<Akot's Foot> Akot'd get in big trouble is she lots her rings. Two are presents and one's a family thing. She's almost paranoid about it.
<Becci's Foot> All Becci's rings were just ones she'd bought and never looked after. She's also too lazy to go up town and buy more. Typical!
*** <Becci> Ok, talking about yourself in the third person, I can understand. But is talking about yourself in the third person from the point of view of your foot just going too far?
<Akot's Foot> Akot's a bit like that too. She broke most of the ring she bought cause she left them on the floor. She gets upset over it, but it's all her fault, not mine.
<Becci's Foot> I know what you mean, Akot's Foot. Becci tends to blame things like that on me too. She just can't accept that I only go where she tells me too!
<Akot's Foot> I think they're just blaming us so they don't feel so bad. Still, if it makes them feel happier, I supose it's worth it...
<Becci's Foot> Yeah, I guess. I mean, if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here!
<Akot's Foot> True enough. We'd just be sitting gathering dust in some closet.
<Becci's Foot> Or we'd be thrown into the Dungeon of Unused Feet! You've heard the legends about that place! We'd never have internet access in there!
<Akot's Foot> Really!? I'd never heard that. *shudders* I'm glad I have Akot. No internet acess.... how would we spend out days?
<Becci's Foot> You haven't heard the legends?! Must just be an English thing. But it makes me very glad of Becci, she's so nice letting me use her computer to talk to other feet on the internet!
<Akot's Foot> Well, I know that over here if you're caught without an owner you go to jail, but apparently there they even let you on the internet a bit each day. Too bad I'm not in England, it would be fun to meet you.
<Becci's Foot> It'd be great if you and Akot came over to England! I'd love to meet you. I wonder if there's some kind of convention for feet and their owners....
<Ala's Foot> I'm really sad right now. Ala's pretty depressed at being cut off from the other foot owners. I feel sorry for her... she really wants to talk with her friends. I hope the stupid mIRC lets her do that fast enough... Or I'll end up in the Hard Disk.
<Akot's Foot> Well, I know there's convention not too far away from us this summer, I think it's for Star Trek fans, and not feet and their owners. *sigh* Too bad.
<Becci's Foot> Becci's taking me to a Star Trek convention this summer! Hopefully, I'll get to meet loads of other Trekkie Feet there too. I wish you and Akot could be there.
<Akot's Foot> Me too! It's too far away though, and Akot's parents wouldn't let us come. They're probably worried she's stil too sick. Poor Holly's foot... it was just disconnected...

<Becci's Foot> Owner's parents can be so annoying sometimes. But if your owner's sick, then we wouldn't want to put her or you at risk.
